A push-around platform is a small vertical lift that is pushed around manually by a trained professional rather than being driven. They only use a power source when raising or lowering.
When should I use a push-around platform?
A push-around platform is a static type of low level access platform, ideal for working environments that do not allow electric or fuel MEWPs. They are designed to be easy to manoeuvre, compact and lightweight, allowing them to fit into tight spots.

What safety precautions should I take when using a push-around platform?
Despite their small size, push-around platforms should be treated with the same health and safety considerations as other MEWPs. This means anyone operating the push-around platform should be trained and licensed - a service Horizon Platforms proudly offers.
On top of this, your push-around platform should be thoroughly checked every six months. At Horizon Platforms, we will also do pre-delivery inspections on each push-around access platform before you receive it. But it is still advisable to pre-use inspections before each use, as well as familiarising yourself with the MEWP.
Last but not least, perform a risk assessment of your push-around platform and its working environment before each job to ensure all hazards are considered and proper risk prevention measures are put in place. Also review the risk assessment throughout the duration of your project.
