Why Is MEWPs For Managers Training Important?
As a manager or supervisor, it’s essential that you have sufficient knowledge of safely operating powered access platforms on site. Under UK health and safety laws, every employer must train any staff who will be using or managing work at height equipment, as set out in the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER) and the Work at Height Regulations 2005.
When planning and overseeing others operating MEWPs, you have a responsibility to keep them safe and provide them with the right support whilst working at height.
Working with MEWPs following IPAF training will considerably lower the risk involved in the workplace as you’re able to take steps to improve health and safety yourself, as well as educate others on best practices whilst working at height.
How Do You Pass A MEWPs For Managers Course?
Following thorough IPAF training and theory teaching, the candidate will be assessed on both their theory and practical knowledge. Once you have sufficient knowledge in each of these areas, a clear understanding of legislation and safe operation and use of access equipment, you’ll be able to pass your examinations. Doing this will allow you to obtain the necessary MEWPs for managers certification.
We appreciate attending and passing MEWPs for managers training course is different from your day-to-day job. However, our team of friendly fully-qualified training instructors are here to help; before, during or after your course.
